There are different types of Sap hana database users.
On one hand there is the technical user, on the other hand there is the standard or personal user account.
Technical users are considered as permanent accounts in the database and password should only be changed by the administrator.
Applications, procedures and batch connections rely on a permanent technical user password.
Therefore technical user password is given once by the administrator in order to keep connection reliability.
As regard personal users, nothing should depend on them.
In order to keep password management simple at the administrator level, a person has to change the password given to a password which can be remembered.
The password update has to be done on the first login or connection.
Note : Mistake are done on technical user now and then when password update is done in a rush.
Do not be supprised to discover a backup procedure has failed because a connection could not be done du to a change password requirement.
Make sure there is no "change password on first connection" whenever a technical user password is updated.
Test the connection and rectify immediately if necessary.
