Too many failed connections will automatically implement an unsuccessful connection counter.
As long the number of connections is under or equal to the defined security threshold the user account is still available for connection.
As soon as the fail connection attempts counter has reached the limit, the account is not accessible anymore until the failed connection counter has been reset.
Note : Do not use the "DISABLE PASSWORD LIFETIME" because of unsuccessful login. This option is dedicated to high level technical users such as BACKUP USERS, ADMINISTRATOR
and any other users which cannot afford to be locked on password security policy. This option will not stop the account to be locked on too many failed connections.
